Old Town Chicago Bed & Breakfast Inn is ideally located in an area called Old Town and Lincoln Park. The neighborhood is upscale, relaxed, vibrant, lively and diverse. Surrounding the bed and breakfast are several commercial streets that offer access to fast, reliable and excellent public transportation. One block north of the accommodation, North Avenue, Illinois Route 64, is taxicab heaven.
The bed and breakfast is a neat 2 miles north of the Chicago business district (the Loop) and a mile north of North Michigan Avenue (The Magnificent Mile), block for block, the best shopping street in the world. A three-minute walk takes you to an eclectic variety of restaurants, outdoor cafes and boutiques, Starbucks and Seattle’s Best coffee shops, Second City, the seminal US improvisational repertory group, counting Mike Nichols & Elaine May, Jim and John Belushi, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd among its graduates, Zanies Comedy Club (an early venue for Leno, Seinfeld and Tim Allen), and Treasure Island, once described by Julia Child as the only truly European supermarket in the US. Each of 4 guest suites offers a queen size bed with 13" deep top-of-the-line mattress, en-suite private bathroom, generous walk-in closet with UL rated wall safe, seating area, full function cable television, VCR, private line telephone and answering machine, computer port, alarm clock, and hairdryer upon request. Twin or portable beds provide accommodation for extra guests.
Common areas, shared only by other guests, feature a fifty foot long drawing room / dining room with Nero marble fireplace, Baldwin grand piano with player function, sumptuous furniture and significant art, extensive 33 RPM record collection, large VCR video collection, big screen cable television and VCR. A chef’s kitchen fully equipped to serve up to 48 guests adjoins. Rooftop decks, a penthouse aerie, conference room, fully equipped laundry facility and a gymnasium with treadmill, stairmaster, exercise bicycle, and free weights round out the common areas.
With 4 guest rooms and generous common areas for exclusive use of guests, the bed and breakfast guest house is also offered as a self-contained vacation rental, unique inChicago, especially well suited for family gatherings and house parties and small business conferences and retreats. Guests are encouraged to invite friends in for tea, wine, a meal or conversation.

Single room rates range from $145 to $225 per night depending on room and local events.
Seasonal discounts generally apply for most dates from mid-December through March. Rates include 24-hour expanded continental breakfast & snacks.
POLICIES
Reservations:
Reservation in advance is required and must be secured with a valid credit card. We accept VISA, MasterCard and American Express. Reservations are confirmed upon receipt of credit card approval for a deposit for the cost of the first and last nights' lodging, including tax, or 50% of the total cost of the stay, whichever is greater. The deposit will be charged to the credit card offered and is subject to our cancellation policy. The balance is due upon arrival.
Cancellations:
Reservation deposits for single room bookings for one or two rooms are determined nonrefundable as of three weeks (21 days) prior to arrival date. Reservation deposits for Whole House bookings or for 3 rooms are determined nonrefundable as of two months (62 days) prior to arrival date. In the event of a cancellation on or after the date when a deposit is determined nonrefundable, reservation deposits will be credited back only to the extent that rooms can be re-booked without loss to Old Town Chicago Bed & Breakfast Inn, less a service charge of one night's stay, including tax, for each room reserved. For any other cancellation, there is a service charge of 10% of deposit with a $50 per room minimum.
Check-In:
Check in is at any time at guests' pleasure. However, a specific time needs to set by prior arrangement with the hosts. Guests are responsible for arriving at the time agreed upon time.
Check-Out:
Ccheck out is at 11:00 AM. Baggage check out is by arrangement and at the convenience of guests.
Parking:
Parking on street is available with permits supplied at check-in.
