Inn at Dupont Circle Inn at Dupont Circle
" ELEGANT AND AFFORDABLE
ACCOMMODATIONS "

Whether you are coming to Washington for business, sight seeing, a romantic getaway or visiting family and friends, let us help make your trip fine. The Inn offers luxurious surroundings with the utmost privacy and quiet, in the heart of the bustling city.

The Inn is an 1886 luxurious Victorian townhouse (formerly owned by astrologer Jeanne Dixon, for 40 years) with soaring 12-foot high ceilings, bay and Queen Anne windows, white marble and cherry pine hardwood floors, original tile fireplaces and other architectural treats, and a private walled rear garden. It offers a:

* Gracious dining room for sumptuous breakfasts with crepes, omelets, baked salmon, honey roasted ham, imported cheeses, melons and berries, homemade breads and cakes, yogurt, cereals, organic-fair traded coffees and a wide assortment of herbal and English teas. Invite your friends, family or colleagues to join you for breakfast, as our guests! Coffee is ready 6:30 every morning for early risers—though most rooms have coffee machines as well. And choose from our teas throughout the day.

* Solarium—enclosed, heated and air conditioned—for those who choose to breakfast overlooking the garden, year round.

* Front salon with an 1879 rosewood carved Steinway concert grand piano (guests are invited to play). We know of two others - one in New York's Metropolitan Museum, and the other in the Smithsonian. The room is yours to enjoy--read a book, invite friends over, or sip wine in the evening.

* Blazing fire in the salon all fall and winter (just the right thing with which to enjoy your coffee and wine).

* Complimentary red and white wine all evening long.

* Fax, scanner and copy machine, as well as laundry facilities.

Guest rooms have:

* A private phone line with voice mail
* Cable TV, alarm clock/radio, hairdryer
* King, queen or twin-size beds with top-of-the-line firm mattresses
* Silky bathrobes
* Period antiques
* Four rooms have the original 1886 tile fireplaces with large candelabras for romantic ambiance
* Three rooms have convertible sofas and chairs for a third/fourth guest
* Plush down comforters and silky all-cotton bed linen
* Oriental rugs
