| " COUNTRY ESTATE WITH AWARD WINNING GARDENS " Aloha, and welcome to Ho'onaneaa term that means "without care" in Hawaiian. Ho'onanea is a Hawaiian-style estate, situated on an acre of award-winning botanical gardens on the Kona Coast of the "Big Island" of Hawaii, perfectly poised to offer an unbelievably beautiful panoramic view of more than 40 miles of pristine coastline with no shoreline buildings, including the sparkling Kealakekua Bay, the Captain Cook Monument to the north, and the City of Refuge to the south. This private estate offers visitors unequaled tranquility and aesthetics. In this residence, with separate entrances, are two private apartments, in addition to our own quarters. The upper apartment has two double beds. The lower apartment has two bedrooms each with a queen size bed. The apartments feature separate entrances, tile baths with tubs and showers, living room, kitchen, and outside dining and sunning lanais with spectacular views of the botanical gardens and the ocean. The kitchens feature refrigerators, ranges, ovens, microwaves, sinks, and disposals. The apartments also contain color cable televisions and VCRs, FM radios and cassette players, private telephones, ceiling fans, full linens, dishes, and kitchenware. Both apartments also feature very large tile decks extending out so that you can dine, sunbathe, and enjoy the view in private. Many of our guests reserve both apartments for family reunions, small seminars, weddings, anniversaries or similar occasions. We will be happy to arrange additional accommodations at nearby facilities. Ho'onanea can become the "gathering place" for all. Each unit is furnished with priceless Koa "art furniture" and decorated with works from Hawaii's most famous artists. A deep-water swimming pool is located on the premises, accented by an eight-foot waterfall spilling into a shallow pool. A separate building contains a heated spa, sundeck, and shower room. The lawn and botanical gardens are among the most beautiful in Hawaii, with zoyzia lawn pathways and wooden catwalks that take you through hundreds of varieties of flowering trees, plants, flowers, and works of art. Tame doves and a variety of wild birds flourish everywhere. A lily pond, another garden pond with waterfalls, a picnic area with barbecue, and a film and book library round out the list. The island of Hawaii is one of the most beautiful places in the world, and a natural honeymoon destination. There is no place on the island that cannot be visited comfortably within a day, and the farthest point is three hours away. We overlook Manini Beach a great location for ocean swimming and snorkeling. Ho'okena Beach, a little farther to the south, is a beach visited mostly by locals; Robert Louis Stevenson and Jack London both wrote here. The monument to the English explorer Captain Cook is visible from Ho'onanea; the base of this monument is probably the best snorkel and scuba site in the state. For a week or so, you can actually "live in Hawaii" instead of just visiting.
